The property is situated in a hamlet known as Les Granges ("The Barns"), with four other properties (both french and english owned). Les Granges is situated on the edges of the woodland leading to Lake Guerledan and about 1km from the centre of Caurel Village and other amenities just minutes away at Beau Rivage. It is only a five minute drive to Mur-De-Bretagne where you will find a supermarket, bank, pharmacy, tourist information office and lots more amenities.
The Village has a school, a glass workshop, two restaurants and a village hall as well as a bread machine!
In addition to the many water activities on the Lake during the summer months (canoeing, boat trips and water-skiing), there are also daily activities providedvia the local tourist information centre - most of which are free. These include archery, bowling, tennis, football, roller-skating, mini-golf, rock-climbing, canoeing and, even horse-riding.
Running from Mur-de-Bretagne, passing through Caurel, to the top end of the lake (Bon Repos) is a disused iron railway which is now a cycle and pedestrian track, providing excellent access to the surrounding area.
